The bottom lining of clothes is black cotton. The pattern of clothes is a square(is very detail silk to make up ), and squre as eight triangles to compose. The square has three colors: Yellow(symbols sun), white(symbols moon) and blue (symbols star). It indicates whole universe protect human, especially shine by sun and star.

China cultural tradition considers that the sun sends out light and heat will exorcize the ghost ( Because the evil thing just only live in the darkness and can't see light and heat, it usually come and go in the darkness). Ancestors considers that the pattern with sun and moon will protect people, so Yi shaman wear it can only protect people has happiness and health life.

After exorcizing the ghost by shaman, all people must touch shamam clothes to hope getting good luck, wealth, happiness, health, etc.

It is the symbol of the good luck and good health. The pattern near head looks like bird, it indicate people can go to heaven after death.
